Trailer THE ROOM

Synopsis

Confined in a room. Where routine turns into an infinite habit for the body, space becomes for the soul a gateway to enter, or to exit….

Date: 2020
Runtime: 3’40

The Room is an experimental short film filmed in January 2020. In my quest to deepen the relationship between the body and space, I reflect, through a single shot, on the impossibility of leaving the daily routine in which we isolate ourselves. Sometimes a simple room with a closed door is all we need to start a process of choreographic creation. This experimental short film has been produced in the framework of ZINETIKA Festival.

Director & Choreographer: Laida Aldaz Arrieta
Camera & Edition: Giuseppe Di Francisca
Music: Luisillo Kalandraka
Sound postproduction: Miguel Hualde
Assistant Director: Joaquín Breton
Assistant Choreographer: Cruz Isael Mata
